If you stay with us sometime between the beginning of July and the end of August, you’ll probably want to take advantage of the summer sales in the shops of Salou, Tarragona, Reus or Barcelona.
This year there are reductions of as much as 70% on the normal price and we have prepared this Guide to Shopping in the Sales to help you get the most out of these special offers.
We propose two itineraries for sales shopping in Salou: the first is Carles Buigas – Carrer de Saragossa – Avinguda Andorra, where you’ll find many bazaar-type shops with a wide range of products of all types, including clothing, shoes, electronic items and gifts. The second is the part of Carrer Barcelona closest to the Jaume I seafront promenade, where there are shops selling top name brands such as Hugo Boss, Dior, Versace, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, etc.
Reus is a town with a long tradition of offering great shopping in its many and varied establishments. Some of the best shopping is to be found on the Tomb de Ravals and around the old town, where the most popular clothing brands, including Pull&Bear, Zara, Springfield, Blanco, InSide, Celio, Desigual, Mango, Stradivarius and H&M all have their establishments.
With most of the same shops as Reus, the capital of the province offers you a very pleasant shopping experience on the shores of the Mediterranean, while enjoying the fascinating old quarter with its magnificent Roman remains. In addition to the smaller establishments on the Rambla Nova and its surrounding streets, Parc Central Shopping Centre offers a large selection of shops and restaurants all in one place and open until 10 pm.
Finally, if the sales in the towns and resorts of Tarragona province are not enough, you can always head for Barcelona. The grand capital of Catalonia is just an hour from Salou and there you will be able to find just about anything you want in the infinite number of traditional establishments on the city’s busy shopping streets and in a wide selection of modern shopping centres. Try the area between Passeig de Gràcia and Portal del Àngel for some “serious shopping”!
